OK, here are the rules you've all been waiting for...
The inaugural JFIFTMG. That's the Joe_Fox International Football Tournament Mini Game.
The Six Predictions
All you've got to do is predict six things. Those things are these things:
- Total goals in the group stage
- Total goals in the knockout stage (not including penalty shootouts)
- Total red cards
- Total penalty shootouts
- Total own goals
- Total hat-tricks
Points
If you are the closest for any one of these, you get 5 points. If you're second closest, you get 3 points, if you're third closest you get 1 point, if you're outside the top three you get nowt.
If there's a tie for any of these six things the points are shared between the people who tied.
Bonuses
Combo bonus:
There's also points for whoever is closest to predicting the combination of all six things.
For this part of the contest, the person coming first gets a whopping 25 points,
second place gets 15 points, third gets 5 points.
Wildcard bonus:
You can pick one of the six things that you are most confident in predicting and make it your wildcard.
Any points you get for that thing are trebled!
Note, you can't make the combo your wildcard.
Maximum Score
So, I think that means there's a top score of 65 available i.e. 5+5+5+5+5+(5 × 3)+25.
Other Rules
All predictions must be made in one go and lodged before the first match kicks off.
